Wednesday – November 29, 2017 

University City of Sharjah celebrated the United Arab Emirates 46th National Day, in the presence of HH Sheikh Saif bin Mohammed Al Qasimi, Director of Sharjah University City, Dr. Khalid Al Midfa, President of Sharjah Media City, and a number of directors of government departments. HH Sheikh Saif bin Mohammed Al Qasimi emphasized that the historic launch of this union began with the assent of the rulers of the seven emirates of the United Arab Emirates, under the leadership of the ruler and father HH Sheikh Zayed bin Sultan Al Nahyan in 1971. The United Arab Emirates continues on having better wisdom and achievements every day at the locally, regionally and globally level, and thus this development leads us to understand that the occasion demonstrates the wise step our rulers.
The ceremony started with the national anthem, followed by the speech of the director of the university city. Shaimaa Al-Mughairy, a talented girl presented a special show of drawing with sand art. Al Noor School and Sharjah University Nursery also participated in the University City of Sharjah celebration by presenting special shows. The celebration continues with variety of enjoyable shows and events.

At the end of the ceremony, HE Sheikh Saif bin Mohammed Al Qasimi, Director of the University City, honored the participants of the celebration National Day of the University City.
