Sharjah Airport
Sharjah made aviation history in 1932 when the emirate’s first flight landed on the Al Mahatta runway. Sharjah Airport opened 45 years later – and it has never looked back. With a runway that is capable of accommodating the largest aircraft in the world, we have quickly expanded to become a world-class, state-of-the-art international airport.
Home to an increasing number of international carriers and regional airlines, we have an open sky policy that allows airline traffic from across the world hassle-free access to the airport. We also have the longest runway in the region at 4,060m, which is Code F and has Cat II capabilities. All aircraft up to the A380 can land and take off with full load capacity during all weather conditions.
