The Higher College of Technology in Sharjah Women’s Campus (SJW) was established in 1997, and Sharjah Men’s Campus (SJM) was established in 1998, the two HCT colleges based in the city of Sharjah and one of seventeen colleges throughout the United Arab Emirates that comprise the Higher Colleges of Technology. The HCT Sharjah Campuses serve the post-secondary educational needs of Sharjah and the two neighboring emirates of Ajman and Umm Al Quwain. The colleges offer a variety of programmes that integrate both academic and practical experience, based on an experiential learning, or hands-on, educational philosophy, to ensure that students have a successful and rewarding career path. SJW was established in 1997 and is located in Sharjah’s University City.
