The University City of Sharjah welcomes the General British Consul in the UAE, to discuss ways of enhancing cooperation between the two sides, and to review the university city strategy and the agreements concluded between the British universities and educational institutions in the university city of Sharjah campuses, such as: Exeter University, Sheffield University, Durham University. British Royal College of Surgeons, Harut Watt University.

Khalid Bin Butti Al Hajri, Director of the University City of Sharjah, welcomed the visiting delegation, reviewing the most important future projects in the University City. The visit also included a tour of the University City to see the major educational institutions in the country and integrated and global services for all residents and visitors.

The British Consul praised the interest of HH Sheikh Dr. Sultan bin Mohammed Al Qasimi, Supreme President of the University City of Sharjah, in educational institutions and free services provided to knowledge seekers, the beauty of the buildings and their architectural design in Islamic style.

The end of the tour included a visit to Dr. Sultan Al Qasimi Gulf Studies House, where the delegation was welcomed by Ali Ibrahim Al Marri, Chairman of the Department, to review the old manuscripts and rare printed maps, the valuables in the department and an honorary doctorate in law from South Bank University in London 2003.
